You could take the comfortable path where you know every turn and no harm can come to you. Or you could take the unknown path where a giant scary monster could be behind every corner waiting to eat you up and spit you out in a slimy ball of regret, pain, and low self-esteem.
That’s the drama in my head before every major life decision. Ugh.
This is a very personal topic and I think it strikes a chord with a lot of women. Confidence is a mental muscle that I am constantly trying to strengthen and the results and how it affects me sway back and forth like a pendulum. 😖
There are moments when I have complete confidence in everything I am putting out there, like my work, my personality, etc. and then, in a split second, a tide can change and all of a sudden I doubt whether I took the right step. Can you relate?
A Hack To Myself
My manifesto poster - and I say “my” because I not only believe in every statement on it but because my name is printed underneath it all - is my hack to my self-growth journey. It’s a collection of small reminders that together make a big impact on me. Every time I look at it, a different part might jump out at me more and it really depends on where my mind is that day. So it's kind of "different" every time.
Designed for personal change.
The beginning of a new year, when a lot of us, once again, jump into creating resolutions and setting goals for a better life, is the perfect time to give yourself the best chance you can to succeed with achieving those goals. You need the confidence to set goals... because if it’s something easy, it’s not a goal, it’s just a task. And then you need to believe in yourself in order to go out there and slay. And when the pendulum once again is swaying in the wrong direction, your personal manifesto can be the one thing that will help you direct your mind back into the positive side.
Wishing you a positive and rewarding journey in 2019 and beyond!
